Just out of curiosity, how does an American go about finding work up in northern Alberta?

From what I've read here, to get hired in the oilfield, you should be INthe oilfield. If you were standing in front of the hiring managers you would probably get better results.

I was born in Leominster Mass to an American and Canadian Citizen which made me a Dual Citizen which gives me the advantage of working and living in either country.

So with the price of oil plummeting, are companies going to start laying off workers, shutting down rigs and production?

They do offer sleppers and I believe they do 2-3 weeks on or until the site is complete
