SLB is SchLumBerger. If he's making that money, he's probably NOT IN MIDLAND/ODESSA area, as they are in a lot of hot water & low pay right now! I think I make about $3500 per mo. as a "temp" wrk. about to become a f.t. employee, then the bonus's kick in. But housing is $900 a month... chews away at the $xtra $

Yea, the boys in frac at Midland yard have screwed up a few jobs :biggrin_25523: & are in hot water with the company & with they're accounts. This is only temporary, but stops the big bucks from flowing into they're camp!!!
I'm in Cement division, as a temp. I do "ok",:biggrin_25513: but not the big bucks that I'd like to make in the oil patches. I personally think that SLB is a great place to start :biggrin_2554:, learn the ropes & consider moving up or moving on...

Im in Colorado and will be starting a crude hauling job in the next week. 2 company's have offered me work. Gazelle Transportation and Gemini Transportation. Both claim 75K per year is not a problem. Gemini is owned by Love's Transportation. They have been in the gas hauling industry since the 1960's and are pouring millions of dollars into their crude hauling division. Im leaning that way as they offer days or nights. Gazelle makes you swing back and forth between the 2. 2 weeks days then 2 weeks nights. Gazelle also has you work a 5-2, 5-3 week schedule. Does anyone know much about either one of these 2 company's?

Out of curiosity, why did you leave walmart? I thought that was a good gig?
