    Help Needed

I am new to the trucking industry as of September last year. I am an owner of two sand trucks based out of Ft.Worth. I have only been in the trucking industry since then, so I am still learning. I was hoping you all could maybe give me some insight. Last year we did pretty well, but now we are struggling to make enough to maintain the trucks. I was curious if you could give me any info., good companies, pay rates, or if its time to drop sand and haul something else with the trailers(and if so suggestions). I don't need to make $100k a year, but I would like to be able to put some money in the bank and get out of the red. I appreciate your time. Thanks.

Y'all do yourself a favor and DO NOT work for GOLD SPUR!! They will treat you like ####, spit in your face, cut your hours, have you driving black trucks with NO AC and force you to quit or fire you within a few months. Trust me...don't make the same mistake I did!

Wowwww speak it! Thats soooo true! My husband has been in no dak for a while now. Hes even embarassed to say that he went to work for them for a few days. He has a clean driving record with 10 years experience. He's never gotten into any accidents or has recieved any tickets, and he has loads of experience hauling hazmat. They started working him right away, but the first day they took him off training they tried to have him overload. He's all, "its my first day and you're already asking me to run illegal? If I wanted to put my license in jeopardy I surely wouldn't do it here!" Your license is your record, your history, everything when it comes to getting work. Please all newbies if you want to continue to gain experience and move up, don't risk ruining your license to work for a p.o.s. co like golden spur.

I heard through the grapevine today that gold spur might be going out of business? Not sure how much truth there is to that. But they're hiring still thats funny. probably trying to get the last few bucks they can squeeze out. Hubby bumped into a gold spur driver today. Guy worked for them for about a year, they fired him and didn't even give him his last paycheck. I'm not surprised...they did that to my hubby also. I'm not sure if thats means for a class action lawsuit. I'm sure there are lots of drivers out there that got mistreated, didn't get there full pay, or spent money to go work for them only to get fired days later and having to figure out how to make money to get back home. I've heard it all when it comes to gold spur!
