Just heard SNI is hiring recent grads in the oilfield for Midland, TX and San Antonio, TX. They also raised tuition reimbursement from $3,500.00 to $6,000.00.

I heard that Schneider is trying to hire another 30 drivers for their crude hauling account in Victoria. They want people who have 6 months exp or more. If you need more info hit me up with a private message.
Also hear that Sun Coast is still hiring people but not that many. They have some people leaving too and need to get some replacements.

@perv - Keep an eye on SNI's job search engine using the search terms "oilfield", and/or "tanker" and location. I understand that where and whether they hire recent graduates changes on Tuesdays as driver numbers are assigned, the tallys are updated and current needs are re-assessed. You can apply, but if the company's needs change on a given job you applied for (they hired all the students they need, for example), a given location and/or job may be closed before you graduate, and they won't confirm you until you're in the week before your last week of school.
If that happens, then you'd have to reassess what's available to students and re-apply for what IS open during that week. Also....just because a given job SAYS they are taking recent grads doesn't always mean they ARE. You don't know for sure until you apply. They are aiming the recruitment firehose at the biggest fires. Good luck!

The account in Victoria is now Schneider's 3rd largest bulk tanker client. It is really booming and the client is putting in more LACTs so even more trucks can fill up at one time.

I'm sure they're not done hiring there altogether....probably just a short hiatus if anything.

Schneider is paying around $220 per day. You can do $100/day better.

nd-newbie....I don't doubt you, and he probably SHOULD, but can you tell the newbie student where he can do $100 a day better in Texas on the day he graduates from CDL school, and point him to the recruiter or the website? That would be very useful, ya think?
