i had an interview there when i first got to midland. the guy i talked to was full of sheet, he promised $140k a year doing 4 days on and 2 or 3 off. i took a look at the cars in the parking lot and the newest car was about 10 years old. i guessed if you were making that much the drivers could afford newer cars. they haul some hazmat stuff out to well sites. you run a drive-off flat bed with a off road forklift so you can unload your own trailer.

making frac-sand maybe .... only one that really knows what they are seeing on check-stub is one banker - teller at bench - and no other ~ unless you can get one of them to show you check-stub with deposit slip that cleared then whatever the rep / recruiter tells you is smoothbore-lippenhiemer

read the post about the cars in the parking lot, either those were dumped when they all started driving Maserati Quattroporte & Lamborghini Gallardo but the repo-man is busy with salesman's ( uh, personal matters )

or,.....just maybe,.....you should get upwind of the smoke he is blowin up your pant-leg ....

Don't work for this company. Crappy trucks, equipment. A lot of racism. You don't make that much unless you drive illegally. They allowed drivers to work 36 hrs at a time. Takes forever to load flatbeds and bulk tanks. The office takes forever to do paper work. They hire and fire so many new people that there is never any consistency.

if Gonzo79 bothers to hammer the company probably something wrong as many of them are - i just got called by Petey Lozano at Nabors to go for interview at San Angelo & they are much better ~ though all of it is hard in oil tanker / frac tanker the thing to do is focus on Key + Nabors + Rosetta + EOG + bhp Billiton

I'm a new driver. Got my cdl about 3 or 4 months ago. before I moved down here I new 0.00 about the oil field other than its hard work. I spent 3 weeks in training until I got my hazmat and qualified for L.I.P ( load insintave program) worth $25 a load. They will take it away In a heart beat if u don't fallow the rules or u tear up equipment. Any ways if been down here for 2 months and I make about 1200-1700 a week running hard. If seen some guys make 2-3k but... I don't advise it. The offer free living at the moment which makes it worth while. I'm single with no kids. Heads up there trucks are ####. But they run 75mph or better.
(Lessons are hard learned and experience doesn't come cheap. But work hard and give your time there is a descent living to be maid out here)
