    Hello Everyone,
I am looking for advise on what company I should seek employment from. Looking for the most hours possible to work and housing . I keep hearing a lot concerning Key Energy not working as many hours any more. I have over 18 years behind the wheel driving and a clean driving record . Just trying to get some outside options of these company's before i come home from Afghanistan(Contractor). Not trying to give up a good job for a bad one if you can understand. Thanks again for any help you can provide

    Sincerely
    E.London

+I was in north dakota for 3 months last year. I chose the wrong company and left. I came out to Northwest Oklahoma and like the oilfield out here better.

Dual Trucking is a crude hauling company a friend worked for and he worked major hours. not sure if companies in north dakota work the hours they used to. ND DOT seems to be cracking down on HOS. That was last year, not sure how this year is.

another friend is still up there working for Power Fuels hauling fresh water. Missouri Basin Energy aka MBI Energy bought out the company i went up there to work for and has bought a bunch of other companies and seems to be one of the biggest.

Nabors is huge and even big down here. A guy that worked for Key energy in williston is here now and left because of hours mostly.

Pay is a few dollars less here in oklahoma but the hours are here. I work 70 every week. you only need a 24 hour reset so working 6 days a week is always possible.

I have been up here since last winter, and was staying busy up until the end of June. Since then the work has slowed down, especially right now. Things are expected to pick up next month which remains to be seen. I currently work for Power Fuels and by and large I am happy where I am at. My only complaint is it is slow right now, but I am in it for the long haul.

My recomendation is to find a large established company such as Power Fuels, MBI, Key Energy ( though it seems their drivers complain the most), ect.

If you have your choice of positions I would choose either Production water, or crude oil hualing vs. fresh water or flowback. With fresh water and flowback when you are busy you are busy. The flip side being when the oil companies slow down drilling you are slow. Production and oil hauling seems to be more steady as you are working on established wells that need to be serviced. Also, if you can work nights as the extra $3 to $5 dollars an hour adds up. I like nights as things are not nearly as hectic as day shift, I have done both.

Do you have a phone number for the Dual Trucking?

I am an O/O with my own tankers looking for a lease.

Big problem in north Dakota is the fact the companies grow so fast they lose control of management. In controlled management will turn a good company bad really quick. I'm loving northwest Oklahoma myself

N Dakota companies to avoid, Power Fuels, Key Energy, MBI. These guys all have no work, BS management and BS petty rules they expect you to live by. I currently haul crude for Rugged west. They are ###### too but I am making 8 to 9K per month. I am looking at OKC right now but theres noting there either. The money here is just not worth the hassle anymore. All the money you make you waste on over priced housing, food and gas. This place is a complete S hole. Alot of companies up here talk alot of crap and deliver alot less... Alot of BS talkers here. Dont believe anyone here. See how things work for yourself. My company has alot of work, I am in the Marathon Penninsula 6 days a wk doing over 70 hrs a wk. Alot of wells and plenty of flow but this company has alot of dispatch and management issues. Thankfully I have a great O/O who leaves me be and lets me work. Hope this helps you all. I would stay away from this hole and look elsewhere. Winter here is God Awful too...Good Luck.

I realize this is an old post but total bs. I started 9/12 with them and unless it was my doing or taking an extra day off I have never worked under 70 hours/week.
