I wanted to get the input of other drivers that may have an idea or an inside tip on where to go to make really good money in a very short period of time. I am aware of oil field work doing fracking and I have experience in that as well, but from people I have been talking to, with the influx of lots of new companies jumping on the Fracking bandwagon, prices have been dropping down to the $50-$60k mark whereas it used to be around $80-$90k. I am also aware of good paying jobs overseas in the Middle East, but looking for something a little bit closer to home. I have been looking at jobs, not necessarily driving jobs, in the tar sands up in Alberta. Anyone got any info on what companies in the tar sands or elsewhere may be hiring and willing to pay a pretty penny for anybody from drivers to laborers and everything in between?

    Thanks guys, CZ

Crude hauling. Jobs in Victoria and Odessa areas. Victoria pays a bit more, I hear. Wyoming pays well, without the housing headaches of North Dakota, which pays the best.

Sorry I don't have advice for specific companies, but you can check with the usual suspects: Key Energy, Nabors, Halliburton, etc.

Head up to Hennessey, OK. The help wanted signs have trippled all along the highways from Kingfisher to Enid. Everyone seems to be looking for drivers. I spoke to a driver the other day and he didn't have a cdl and he was driving a vac truck. The pay is around 18 to 25 p/hr doe and the work is steady with tons of overtime to be made and the housing is affordable and plenty for now. The big guys are starting to move in now. I am guessing it wont be long until a full scale boom hits so if you are thinking to come to these parts you might want to move quickly before some news reporter goes viral about this area.
