Does anyone work for Stevens oilfield tanker division? If so what do you do? How many hours do you work? Do you like it (I know work is work)? How many days a week do you work?

    Uncle Ben Thanks this.

Don't work the tanker division, but Hubby has a friend that does & he works his ##### off, 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Pay is not as good as expeccted because they are exempt from paying overtime rates.

In the Eagle Ford, I see Stevens drivers hauling produced water from the leases to saltwater disposal facilities. Vacuum tanker work. Long hours, but not hard labor.

So your saying they don,t pay time and a half after 40 hrs ? Steven,s sent me a email stating after 40 hrs , they pay time and half. And what regular and ot pay is. A expierenced tanker driver with hazmat, starts at 18.00. With Hazmat you get .50 more, night shift .50, makes it 18.00, day shift no hazmat pays 17.00 in Stockdale. The pay in Jacksboro is lower. What terminal is your friend working out of ? Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know the same thing, I think I got the same e-mail as V8-MACK from Stevens and it clearly spells out what the pay schedule is. I have the Stevens application sitting on my desk, I was going to start filling it out.

    Thanks in advance...

Stevens is and will always be a rat outfit. Had/have continual all in DFW Craislist. BS about $60k a yr in Jacksboro. Know 3 drivers who applied. Were expected to pay for lot of things including tools that any good company furnishes. Just like Schneider and the rest they are trying to cut throat the oil patch like they have the OTR. Beware and good luck.

Oil field company's are always going to be hiring, and constantly at that. I wouldn't say it's a company problem, a lot of guys think they can, and want to work the kind of schedule that the oil field demands and then soon find out it's not for them, so again I wouldn't attribute that to the company solely. And 60 thousand a year at 18 an hour, if overtime is paid shouldn't be hard to achieve. I work in PA and I'm paid 16 an hour, and average 55 hours throughout the year and made 50K in 2012.
