I am looking for any information on Chalk Mountain Services. I am moving down south and they have a yard in Pleasanton and I'm considering going to work for them but I don't see any of their drivers up where I live to ask questions. Any help on this company would be appreciated.

They are ok. You will start working nights for a few months until you have seniority to move to days. First few days there you will be sitting with a pusher on a well learning how to blow off, and shoveling sand back into the bins when they blow over. You'll learn which drivers hotbox, and which ones to stay away from. It's not that bad of a company, just remember to watch your ###. They try to push you out of the yard at the beginning of every shift, which isn't bad...but they try to rush you through your pretrips a lot so they don't have drivers sitting in the yard. Sometimes you will be told to go load and call them in a town of their choosing. They do this so you aren't sitting at the yard, and they don't have a well to send you to. If they do that, get comfortable and take a nap...you're gonna be there a while. They pay by the hour though, so it's just more money in your pocket! Good luck with them! If you have any questions about them, feel free to message me. I used to work for them.

    wellbucket Thanks this.

I see them all the time hauling sand to or from eog resources in Refugio and head back towards Cuero. They got nice new looking peterbilt 389s and nice lookin solid bulk tankers as well.

Most of their equipment is fairly new, they just run the hell out of them. I'm running over the road and drive a 2012 T660 with 185383 on the odometer right now. One of their 2012 Peterbilts probably has double or triple that and they don't even leave the South Texas region.

Just remember to pack a lunch everyday. You won't always be near a truck stop unless you go to Refugio, and there are some times you are going to get stuck on a well for a looooooooong time...especially if they do a shift change at the well.

I just received a call from them. I filled out an application online for them yesterday. Do you mind telling me why you were terminated? Maybe something that I can learn from

I'd rather not say to be completely honest. It was a mistake that I don't really want to talk about.
