Sounds to me like the current oil field boom has started to slow down, then. Schneider probably shut down the energy division because it stopped being profitable for the company. The wells are drilled, the trucks are no longer needed.
I foresee the same situation coming to the PA Shale region. It is my understanding that the Dakotas are slowing down as well. I feel bad for anyone who thought they were gonna make a career out of this.jdrentzjr Thanks this. -

The oilfield isn't slowing down. There's 900 rigs drilling in Texas alone. Schneider couldn't compete in one way or another. Pricing is important but only one company can be the cheapest so the service has to be there. Your not gonna get superior service when you pay low wages.
