This is probably good news they would have done as much damage to pay in the oilfield as they have to other segments of the trucking industry.

Ahhhh, stop with the entitlement and anti-free market philosophy. If they are able to do the job cheaper they deliver better value to the consumer.

Newsflash Schneider and other large carriers are the epitome of anti free market philosophy you are so clueless it's laughable.

Yes, it's called a free market and it works both ways. We want the highest wages while being able to buy what we want at the lowest prices, but some don't want to compete for wages but they want all our suppliers and their workers to compete. There's no fairness in that, it's called entitlement.

I couldn't find any news articles. It would be interesting to get confirmation.

OK so, make a claim without supporting it. There is a ditch on both sides of the road. I understand about monopolies and predatory pricing, I wonder if you do?

Sounds to me like the current oil field boom has started to slow down, then. Schneider probably shut down the energy division because it stopped being profitable for the company. The wells are drilled, the trucks are no longer needed.

I foresee the same situation coming to the PA Shale region. It is my understanding that the Dakotas are slowing down as well. I feel bad for anyone who thought they were gonna make a career out of this.

Politically and economically, everything is so tenuous, I think everyone should just get it while the getting is good. I'm not buying boats and motorcycles with my earnings, I'm salting it away. If it's still here one year or five years from now, then, I might think about more toys. Bullion, shotgun, paid off house, water filtration, canned goods...

The oilfield isn't slowing down. There's 900 rigs drilling in Texas alone. Schneider couldn't compete in one way or another. Pricing is important but only one company can be the cheapest so the service has to be there. Your not gonna get superior service when you pay low wages.
