Isn't FFE the company that trains and only has like a 9 month commitment?

 

As a former FFE driver (and tanker yanker, but not oilfield) I'm gonna tell you to look elsewhere. FFE was bought out/acquired via hostile takeover by KLLM. The dedicated account I was on had FFE drivers hauling tanker and end dump as well as reefer. KLLM has no interest in continuing this and rumor has it they're on the verge of losing the farm to Prime.

Stick with an oilfield company and stay away from the wannabes.

 

My fiance is currently OTR and looking at FFE as a water tanker in Odessa. He has only 6 month OTR experience and wants to move out to Odessa. Then we can have a steady location to be every night. They say they pay $20/hr. He has only done dry van and needs experience with tankers. So he figured since FFE will take him it would be one way to get the experience and then go to another company in the oilfields once he gets the experience. How much is the average check with FFE? We'd be willing to struggle a bit money wise just to get the experience for something better in the future. That's what we are doing now. Newbie OTR isn't making much especially always being in the shop. Is this a good idea to do or are there better options we aren't aware of????????????????
