Steer clear of anything to do with FFE. They are bottom feeders from way back.

Even their water hauling tanker division? They say $20+ hour with good OT and time and a half and are very busy right now. Doesn't sound too bad and ya only need 3 months experience, so they say. You heard and personal stories about FFE's oil field division?

They won't be in it long. I've seen a couple of their trucks out in Midland. They were only reefer and dry box when I worked there and so far was the worst company I ever worked for. You have to live in the area for the oilfield division but I suspect it won't be around much longer once all the pipelines are in place. They are almost done here in my area so the sight of seeing a water truck is getting slimmer and slimmer every day. There are a least 15-20 pads around my house which when they were first drilled, you would see trucks in each one several times a day but now your lucky to catch a truck once a month on one or two pads. Select opened a new facility south of me a couple years ago and no the place is closed up. There are a few other companies that have done the same. It was a come and go moment in time. Glad I didn't go much further than wasting money on my hazmat endorsement.

Worked with a guy who got on with FFE water hauling, and never got half of what they promised. His story (and after working for FFE I believe it) was they expected you to stay on site without pay until you were called for a job, which for him was every 2-3 days. When he complained about it he received even less work, and finally had to file for unemployment.

They're doing oilfield now? When I talked to them, they only wanted people to go OTR for like minimum wage.

FFE and Stevens both tried to get into water hauling, and both have been miserable messes.

I called them and they told me to go otr for a month till water heated up in midland tax. KLM bought them too. Promised a sign on bonus, promise they did. The company I drive for, if your truck is down you are down. Domes guys get 20 hours a week others 70.

Somehow It's difficult to say "oilfield" and FFE in the same sentence. It just doesn't go together. When oilfield comes to mind truckers like EL Farmer, McClatchy Bros, Key, Acme all come to mind...not FFE lol.....

Did they really buy some 130's and expect to haul water ? Really? Kinda like Prime and tankers, another oxymoron.

Sorry guys, it is what it is....
