Sorry-winch/vac/heavy haul, but occasionally see sand haulers on 59 between Douglas and Miles City-probably not as many as in past years

Make your expenses shrink by getting a RV that you can drive to work. Drive it in , park it, go to work, leave find a spot, sleep, repeat ;). Best to have something that doesn't look like an RV like a vabanger a gym membership to take showers. Get canned foods for food. Right there will save you $1500 a month

im up in ND and I stay in a W900 Aerocab.

$20 bucks per hour, and can't make a living? Utah is not that expensive.

Colorado's normal pay is starting wage between 18-20$ and cost of living is cheap, so is NM oil fields too. They pay pretty good too. If you can't live off of $20 an hr then something is seriously wrong. I went home for a bit but I was working in North Dakota making $27 an hr 70 hrs a week and I was making bank. I don't have many bills anyway but its not that bad, if you dont wanna be in the nasty weather all the time Colorado, NM, TX is the place to be.

And any man that is willing to stay in a cab of a truck for months on end is a dumb-### cause when its -30 outside you could freeze to death or get stuck somewhere. Use your head man!

Wow, thanks for the compliment ;) made it through the -70 nights just fine.

id rather put the rent and house expense money in my pocket. I'm here to work and make money. Simplify your life and save money

remember, the oilfield jobs could go away at any time.

Cost of living has increased over the last 4 years, but not drastically. Housing has caught up to the need, and jobs outside the oilfield are paying the standard pay, ie fast food workers are getting minimum wage, walmart is paying $9-11 per hour.

One year of oilfield experience, he will have NO trouble finding a good paying job.
