Been doing crude/condensate for quite sometime now and was wondering if anyone here has the measurement of the tank sizes I pull from? We have three tank sizes for the BHP area. 400, 750 but BHP says its 800, and 1000 bbl tanks. Im looking for the chart that shows feet and inches of product in the tank and converts them to bbls. DOes anyone have this? Where can I get this?
Measurements of tanks?? How much oil in tanks?

Ugh.....they didn't tell you this??? Haul your butt around the tank and find the data plate....the bbls will be on the plate.
A 400 is 20 feet tall and fills at 19.6' , a 436 is 16 feet tall....we don't have any 500's or more....... I'll give you a strapping chart if you need one for each....
Oh yeah, 180 bbls on a transport is 8'6" in a 400 plus the suction pipe is 1'5" off the bottom so you need 10'5" to get a load. And you're over legal gross at 180. Use 132 plus gravity for legal bbls.

who needs a chart, 400 barrell tank, 20 ft high... to get barrels per inch it is 400/(20*12)= 1.67 barrels to the inch.
so the generic formulas is total barrels divided by total inches of tank. -
