TAKE IT BACK!! Stripes is the greatest. lol They do have a handful of places that have really good food. Colorado City off 20. Kermit on 302 does it right. Beeville down South was good. Can get roasted chicken half free with purchase. The ones in Big Spring, Odessa, Midland were nasty with drivers peeing everywhere and living in trucks. Amazing how 20-40 miles can make a huge difference.

One thing you might want to consider before taking the frac job. I did a short stint as a frac fueler about a month ago and I was concerned about my health. On one side you fuel the pumps where the chemicals are. Not good for you. On the other side you fuel the pumps where the frac sand trucks unload. You don't want to breathe that stuff.
Hauling crude if you work wells you can use a respirator up on the tanks. It won't protect against h2s but it keeps all other fumes out. If you work lacts you don't have to worry about fumes. -
Definitely something to consider. The money wont be of much use if it the job kills you...lol.

Yeah. Good points. I think both choices are dangerous. I assume that I am safer being a frac driver but dangerous vapors suck. I used to work with some old school union painters...some of those guys done wiffed a bit too many vapors All joking aside, safety is a priority. I wont be suprised if we get respirators. I will ask about it. Got my interview in 30 minutes.
snowman1980 Thanks this. -
Went to the interview.
Was quick...
They do have respirators for the vapors, dust & dirt.
I did not have many questions other than..."When do I start?"
The hiring manager chuckled and said they need to do the background check...Could take a day or two but they said they will call.
I dont think I will wait for a call. I will likely go back there tomorrow in the morn.
Even if I dont get the position (which I want), I still got the Crude Job!!!! YES!!!
Was hard work to get to this point...So glad it worked.
LDI UPDATE....
Last I heard from my friend, as of a week ago, LDI now has way more drivers than trucks...
Could it be because I posted their number on this forum? One can only imagine...snowman1980 Thanks this. -

Was offered the Frac Driver position.
I am accepting it...
Now to write a letter the company who offered the Crude hauling position.Arky Thanks this. -
I hope it works out for you. You can make some serious cash frac fueling. Wear your respirator. That stuff is nothing you want in your lungs.
Arky Thanks this.
