    Hey guys,

I am wanting to haul crude.

OXY and Sunoco hire right out of truck driving school.

Which are you guys works with them and or knows the contact info for recruiters?

I already know that Arky hauls for Sunoco as well as Cyborgt800.

I am in Texas and am ready to bug the crap out of them to get hired on.
I am like a loaded gun, just point and pull the trigger.

Apps have already been filed out on line.

Makes me real comfortable that OXY and Sunoco are hiring right out of driving school.
Especially the whole bit with the green horns hauling, ya`know- thousands of gallons of extremely flammable liquids.

Blah Blah Blah...Cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it Sir!

If you dont want to stick with the content subject posted in the start of my thread then you are not required to post anything...Actually I would prefer you did not. This thread is not to discover what makes you comfortable. Thanks

P.S. If you do not agree with the policies of a particular company, why not consider contacting them and expressing your concerns?

What is the point of asking for help if people decide to post pointless replies? Seriously?

Are you confused or did you not read the title to the thread?

Occidental Petroleum (aka "Oxy") and Sunoco are two of the biggest players in crude transport world. So, if they're hiring newbie drivers they probably know what they're doing and I'm sure both cos. offer excellent training. My first driving gig, right out of CDL school, had me hauling propane, acetylene, and other fun things after worthwhile training. So, it happens, and the OP just wanted input. Lose the attitudes.

Sorry CDH - can't tell you much about the two cos. other than they are reputable and a world better than working OTR like so many newbie drivers have before you. Visit YouTube and find videos that will explain the nuances of hauling flammables, they're out there. Good luck.

I worked for a subcontractor of a subcontractor that dealt with a handful of petroleum companies in North Dakota. Of those, Oxy was the only one that seemed to actually take safety seriously. I was impressed -- once I got over having to shave my beard...
