I'm Looking for suggestions on tandem suspension differences in KW AG460 vs Pete Air Trac in an oil patch work?
I'm about to go with the purchase of 2015 KW T800 or a 2015 367 SBA Pete, both spec'd identically for an oil patch work. My final concern is the difference in ride quality on and off highway, as well as ice and mud traction for KW AG460 vs Pete Air Trac. Both trucks equipped with dual levelling valves and full lockers. Will be hauling crude oil tridem tanker up to 120k lb gvw. Any inputs or suggestions greatly appreciated!

You are going to buy a new truck and beat the crap out of it in the oil patch? I would buy 3 50k rigs before I bought one new one.
mattbnr Thanks this. -
I wouldn't recommend a brand new truck for oil field work. Have you seen the conditions those trucks are in? There's a reason almost every truck in the oil fields are the see trucks.

That's not what I asked for! But to answer your question - yes, I will buy a new truck and not gonna beat the crap out of it. My work involves 70% hwy and 30% graded gravel roads, which turns into ice or mud depending on a season. Can't afford buying an old truck, put into schedule and visit a shop every second day.

Ok, I haven't asked on opinions on what to buy. Out here in northern AB, 60-70% of trucks are new. Don't now anything about US side.

Have you considered a glider?

check out fitzgeraldtrucksales.com They explain it as well as anyone, but simply put, you buy a new cab from the frame up w/front axle and someone puts in an old or rebuilt engine, trans and or rear.
