How big are these guys on what you're wearing? Do I need go be suited up or is a t shirt and jeans fine?
-
I used to think suited up would make you stand out from the rest, it will, but not in a "suitable" way. Being in a suit might present you as someone not suited to hard work in the great outdoors. Really it's not needed for the Oilfield. Working in an office is different.
Just dress in clean, presentable work-style clothes; rugged jeans and a collared shirt would be just fine. I prefer Wrangler brand but Carhart also, IMO, gives the impression that your a "worker". That's how I see it.
Clean work/dress boots/shoes also would make you look like your ready and able for work.
There's a slew of jobs out that way. I was there 2 weeks ago and the activity around Midland makes what I see here in Karnes County seem small-time in comparison.
Good luck -
