If u are in the oilfield exempt driver status are you still required to wait 168 hrs before you can reset your 70?

What's a "24 hr. reset"?? They are more like 48 hours now.

Yes, for oilfield it's 24 hours for a reset instead of 34.

I realize its 24 that was not the question.
The question is are you required to wait 168 hours to reset you 70 as you are required to wait 168 when you are not in the oilfield exempt status

Yes. Only the length changes not the frequency.

This is wrong. You can take as many resets as you want in a 7 day period and reset your hours everytime. The new rules didn't change a thing about the oilfield reset. If you haul a general freight load then you must follow the rules with the 34 hour reset and 168 hours between resets for 7 days following when you are done with that load.

most people cant use that statues! its more for the fracers, cement and people who are on job sites for periods of time. and driving is not what they do for the most part.

I'm pretty dead this week so you probably wouldn't be much better over here. No detention is absolute ######## tho.
