Chinatown Thanks this. -
Try Crystal Flash also look at any tanker companies you see in gas stations and call. Believe I saw a FTT
Tanker of Frontier. Also give Bulkmatic a call its obviously bulk but the drivers I spoke to are home everynite
and make over 60k year. -
A lot of oilpatch jobs pay well and you are home every night....my problem with that statement is that... no, I'm out of the truck every night....my "home" is about 350 miles from here....would be a lot farther for you.
Find a good tanker outfit to get started. Once you have a year of experience, doors begin to open. Two years, most all doors are open.Jamie414 Thanks this. -
Thank you I will be contacting all of these companies should I call before I apply and ask to speak to a dispatcher or human resources
Chinatown Thanks this. -
I would apply online if possible, then call...or show up in person if possible. One thing I forgot to mention. Be patient as possible (i know that you may need to get to work). The best info you get on these forums...thats fits you the best... may come a week or a month from now. That info may come from somebody that doesnt check the boards but once a month. You have to remember that most are working and only log in when they have time.
If tanker is definitely what you want...spend a LOT of time reading the tanker forums... you'll learn a lot. Spend a lot of time researching the industry as a whole. Use google...its your friend. Interested in a company... google their name... google xyz trucking reviews... you'll learn a lot.
