Heard on the radio the other day...OBummer gave govmt. agencies involved "more time" to evaluate the environmental impact of the Keystone Pipeline. Radio commentator felt that this, the latest blow would delay the pipeline through the November mid-term elections......then of course, the holidays would be upon us and most budgets would be dried up for 2014 meaning construction is likely pushed back to spring of 2015.

Good for trucks and rail but bad for the pipeliner's in your life........

    FYI.....

I agree. Plus the oil doesn't even go to us. Just goes right through the heart of the country, into the gulf, and then to who knows where?

I think I read something like it's only going to provide something like 200 permanent jobs, if it's ever even finished.

BTW, it's not the prez's fault. Nebraska and, I believe one of the Dakotas won't permit it. States rights, ya know?

If he overruled those states that aren't allowing it to pass through their lands, then he would be like a dictator or somethin'.

I am much more worried about this new trade agreement he's negotiating. That thing has the potential to finish off weekday NAFTA missed when it can to American jobs.

Nebraska passed a law allowing the pipeline. States rights has nothing to do with The President delaying his decision. If it was the reason, he could just say it is a State's rights issue and wash his hands of the whole thing.

Pipelines for the time being are shutting down any large jobs. A few small ones and hydro-testing is about all that is going on this Summer. At least on the West coast.
