Does anyone know how to apply with Shell? I live near a proposed fracking plant site, and I want to see about getting my foot in the door well in advance.. but I cannot seem to find a application anywhere. Help?

Would Shell hire someone with no experience ? I worked for them in Chicago, they were very big on safety. I would think because of the BP oil spill they want experienced drivers.

the only real problem i have heard about boom towns in the oil business is,my buddy liked to drink before he went to north dakota. he claims he is becoming a alcoholic up there and he was like that before he went up there. i trucked in alaska in the late 60s and early 70s you will be faced with high prices, finding a place to live and bad weather,in most boom areas. but if you can handle that there is money to be made, plus the trucking experiance you learn be a great help in the future. lots of luck

I haul Shell's oil and between them and the company I work for, I had to do about 100 hours of safety classes, online training, training with a driver in the truck before I got to haul my own loads. Shell is known in this industry for being all about safety so I seriously doubt they will hire anyone with less than 1-2 years experience.

website's definitely the way to go. They have to have listed the job first but you can create a profile with resume for them to view.
