I just found by chance a community college in Ohio that is offer oilfield related jobs training such as truck driving/CDL and Frac Process technicians. They are combining CDL training with Safeland training.
Anyone heard of this Safeland training and is it going to be helpful to have to get hired on in say
The Texas oilfields?

Apparently not. Never heard of it. College is not necessary

I wouldn't waste time or money on safeland training. Most big companies will get you the training if they require it. I just finished my safeland training today.

No you should not spend money on this training

Safeland is a bunch of powerpoint presentation
then open book "test" then tada they issue you a card stating you ve been trained on safety and dangerosity when in fact you just watched a screen
its informative at most but as other says its usually provided by companies for free with donuts and burritos... -

just look at the company sponsored list.. working on their pads (locations), you will get the training via the company.
It is a day of powerpoints, short films, and an open book give you the answers tests... more informative than anything else. Let the company pay for it.
