He's not really paid hourly and it varies (10-15 hrs/day). It's mostly % . Even the jobs he bills by the hour is %. He was averaging about $250/day and is now averaging $300-400/day. They work the 5 days on 1 day off and 4 weeks on 7 days off rotation. There are companies out there that pay more or less, but he feels secure where he's at. He does also pay housing which varies where you are based out of.

He comes home. If you and your family relocate then you would have more of a regular schedule. Check out their website and there is a slide show. So far everything it says is how it has been. In Tioga, ND he lives in an apartment and since another guy from his class got on, they share a 2 bedroom and the rent is split automatically out of their check. Living apart isn't always easy, but he is home a day or two more than OTR in a month and definitely making more, especially for a newbie. Ultimately our plan is to move next summer in 2015.
trkrslady Thanks this. -
As a side note to everyone out there interested in ND driver positions, the competition is heating up because the drivers that quit for winter season are coming back if not already back. Also, if you are able to apply in person and hit the dirt so to speak you have a better shot. You may get a "Thanks but no thanks" response online, but still get hired in person.

Do they send him home or is he doing that on his own dime? -

styker, How long have you been hauling for Nuverra? How many loads are you averaging per day? Is their equipment newer and well maintained? How do they treat their drivers?
Sorry for the 3rd degree of questions. I'm getting ready to make a trip up there to Dickinson and just saw your post. -
Mrs. Stryker here. Hubby has been with Nuverra since March and is still loving it. The load count and pay depends on what you are doing and who the companies are you are invoicing. He doesn't "haul" as often now because he moved up into the "service" section which is messier, but pays more. He was averaging $250-300/day and is now closer to $300-400/day, but will go up again when he hits his 6 months. Equipment from what he has said is pretty good and maintained pretty well also. He likes all the dispatchers, his boss, and most of the other drivers. Does that help? If you want to know more or speak to him direct, send a private message when you get out there and he can probably help you out. He is based in Tioga so he's a few hours from Dickinson.

Thanks bunches Mrs. Stryker. What you've said pretty much mirrors what Mr. Donovan in Whitfield City has been saying to me. He's the recruiter I've been working with so far.
I'm coming out to 'Live the Dream!' LOL! Hope to meet both of you sometime.
I'm bringing my son out as well. What's your take on the job market for the local services and retail industries? Lots of jobs? Pay rates for places like Wal-mart or K-mart, etc.?
