For you guys that work the rotation shifts and fly back home out of state- such as 2 weeks on, 1 week off, etc. Are you guys required to change your CDL to Texas? I mean, you are only working in texas for a couple weeks and then flying back home to wherever state you're from. So are they making you guys change to Texas CDL??

Company may require it, DOT won't. The odds of you finding that type of job (flying you home on off time) are slim to none. Finding a 2 or 3 on and 1 off are real easy. Nearly any frac crew. If you want to fly home though, you will be paying for it yourself. Those days are long over as filling these oil field jobs are a lot easier now.
