Any companies hiring (in any region) with sleeper cabs?

My husband has been driving reefer for 2 years (clean record) and we're living paycheck to paycheck so saving up for a car has been impossible. We've been looking at trying out ND (but really anywhere) to try and get ahead. The problem is, without a car, he can't get to ND or get to/from work if he could manage to find his way over there. Not something we've had to worry about while he's OTR but this is a new ball game.
Are there any companies that offer transport or maybe sleeper cabs so that he could get his foot in the door? Or are there any carpool type set ups out in the fields?

While I can't speak for any specific companies, I KNOW for fact that there are legitimate outfits that have sleeper cabs for their drivers in NoDak. The thing is that the majority don't seem to, simply because they want their trucks running constantly, but I have even seen recruiters on this site looking to hire drivers to work all day and live out of the trucks at night.

I wish your husband all the best, and I'm sure he'll find something if he puts his mind to it and starts making some calls. :)

Lots of sand haulers and some crude haulers have sleepers. I'm in one right now (sand). Water haulers tend to run day cabs or coffin sleepers so they can slip seat and run two shifts.

I don't know where you are but if you are close to or looking for work around ND you might try Taylor Trucking. They run mostly the Midwest. They are in Mn but they will get hubby to orientation.

Ive never worked for them so not really sure how they are.

First thing you should do before even contemplating this is reduce your expenditures. If you are living paycheck to paycheck now you will be later regardless of how much you make. You also will need savings to float until money starts coming in again. At the very least 1 months expenses. Even if he is hired day 1 it will at least 1-2 weeks and more likely longer before being paid.

No, we won't be living pay to pay check no matter how much we make. We're not living pay check to pay check because of expenditures (and wasn't that a bit condescending to suggest it without knowing some background) the situation is what it is because the company he works for (as so many OTR reefers are now) is barely getting him any miles...like around 1,000/1,500 weekly. That's fast food rates. You think you wouldn't be living paycheck to paycheck on that kinda money, while supporting a family? Maybe in a tent.
I appreciate all the suggestions coming my way on how to get on in the oilfields. I'd appreciate it kept on that topic.

Hehehe. Sand and oil have sleepers. Oil hauling will prolly be tougher to get on startin out. But sand should be easier to start with , prolly wont be the best of companies but u can get'er done though. Good luck

Where are you at now? If you aren't near one of the oil plays the you definitely need to save some money up before you come out. Takes more than one day to get a job and probably a month before you get your first check.
