I work 5/1, 5 12hrs or 14hrs, Driving on gravel roads in the dark is not for everyone. The roads turn to mud after a couple of hours of rain. After 6 months you should make 100k. I thought it would be easy its not the roads beat your body up! I haul salt water from the wells to a disposal or to rigs. MBI will give anyone a chance, the rest is up to you.

Do you mean $100,000 in six months, or that you wage after six months would equal 100,000/yr?

Don't forget that nothing is lit up normally on the patch at night except for rigs so a lot of the lease sites can be difficult to find if you haven't been to them before.

It's not 3 weeks without a day off that just what they call the rotations usually if your doing a 3 or 4 week with a week off you work 5 days until you hit your 70 hours and then you get the oilfield 24 hour reset.

If your a new cdl driver with minimal driving experience I recommend Mbi in North Dakota. When I started I didn't even know how to shift properly. Most of the trainers a pretty good. Some of the equipment is crap but if you have any dot problems with your truck just put it on the dvir they will fix it before you roll. Also if the conditions are unsafe and you don't feel like driving they won't give you a hard time. The pay is not the best but the benefits are unmatched free healthcare and dental premiums paid. This was my first trucking job I wish I would have never left. I would say the living conditions are not perfect depending where you are.

Thanks for the good info all. I am waiting on my TWIC and really thinking about how to get my foot in the door in oilfields hauling crude. I have had my CDL-A TX forever but have not driven in about 7 years. I applied with Nabors for Ok & MT but got turned down so far. I think about coming to TX and see if it happens for me in person.

don't need twic to haul crude, unless you are around the ports.
