How much are the fees at the disposals? What's a good rate to pay my drivers? What kind of permits do I need to get? How much is diesel? How much would I need to start up including getting a used truck and trailer? And anything else that yall might be able to think of. Wanting to start with one truck and work my way up. Was thinking of hiring six guys 8 hour shifts a day. Week on for three guys and then when they go off the other three come on. Good home time for the drivers and less overtime pay out of my pocket. What would be a good average profit a week starting out? I figured at charging 80 an hour is this to low or to high? The math is 22 dollars an hour to 3 guys including overtime would be $4,224 a week in in employee salary and I was told by a driver on the job I am on now that it costs about 300 in fuel every two days which would be roughly $1,050 a week in fuel. Adding those two together you get $5,274 a week in expenses, but charging 80 an hour over 7 days comes out to $13,440. Deduct expenses and that's $8,166 a week profit not including disposal fees. Does this seem about right or am I way off?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Drivers are looking for hours.. 8 hours shift, you will end up with a skyrocketing turn over rate (56 hours for 7 days , then 7 days off = a joke when usually you do 56 hours in 4 days).
We are looking for the overtime ... Just sayin.

Fees at the disposal will vary with the volume you will bring them, goes from $0.5 to $0.8 per bbl, same goes with the Fresh Water and Brine, the more you ll haul , the cheapest it ll become.
You ll need to get a least a water hauling permit, And more than anything you ll need to find companies that will let you get on their wells .

I got the idea from a driver on the location I'm on now doing some work for apache outside of big lake tx. He suggested the week on week off idea so I guess it varies depending on the drivers.

Sorry, but if you need to ask on a message board how much diesel is, do you think you are really ready to start a business?

You mis read what I meant as in how much does it vary by truck size and how much diesel the truck would be using while loaded, but thank you for trying to insult my intelligence.

Let's see...you come on a driver's forum asking for info on how to start a company. Your stated first goal is to save and pocket as much money as possible by knocking down your labor costs.

News Flash: We're your labor costs, bubba. And we're you're labor source. What, did you think you were going to pick up a crew at Labor Ready, tell 'em to hop in the back of your truck, then take them out to your yard and hand them the keys?

This ain't flowback bubba. You need qualifications to do this job.

And you're butt-hurt because you think someone on here insulted your intelligence? You just insulted the intelligence of this whole community by asking us for advice on how you could best cut our throats.

You're making a crappy first impression.

    I did not misread anything.

    "How much is diesel?"

So let me rephrase: If you are incapable of effectively communicating through the written word do you think are you really ready to start a business?
