Why set your sights on only the oil industry when there are numerous trucking jobs here in Texas paying above 60K a year, especially around Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock, Amarillo, etc? Search some of the job sites like Monster.com for more what you are looking for. You can certainly make good money for hard work in the oil industry here, though a lot of the oil well sites tend to be in rural areas.

Water you can expect $1800-2300 take home every other week. Starting out. Idk about frac or sand. Let them wake up. . Hauling oil for a marketing company I was bringing home $2400 every other week . 3rd party guys can make more.

In frac you can bring home 3000-4000 every two weeks with great benefits and decent time off.

I'll second that. My first paycheck hauling sand was $3400 take home.

I shouldn't quote posts when I'm drinking. But from what I understand, frac is similar earnings as far as money tiers go up here.

To the other poster, North Dakota. All the drivers I know from other oil fields are unanimous that ND is the best money. Lots of work in every patch, but the best $$$ is of course in the most inhospitable place.
