Anyone know of any ND oil field jobs that hire with no experience? Or will even train and pay for the testing?

I was just there for 9 months. I would suggest getting a class A cdl first. Then companies would be willing to train you. Check out Jobsnd.com and look at all the jobs they have near Williston and Watford city. Call the companies and see what they say. What other skills do you have? They might have good jobs for you with the skill set you already have. But I will say if you get your cdl and then go, you will have better opportunities. Good luck to you.

There are a lot of companies so I am sure you can find the situation that you want. If you want good benefits, try getting on with a major like Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, or Halliburton. But, a lot of these smaller companies will work you crazy h i hrs because they want to keep their customers. I don't think the 70 hours matter if you are driving within the same 150 mile radius everyday. Set up an account on jobsnd.com and browse the job search,to see what companies are out there. Lots of small natural gas companies are growing in the area. Look up Targa in Watford City for example. Good luck to you.

thanks , wild murphy just never being there and like always nobody wants to talk about the hours they will actually give you ,[common]the only one who would say I could get allot is the one ill probably take for now , its a frac fueller job they are offering 23$ but housing is very high and the company recruiter is hard to deal with , but I think ill take it and see what happens. really would preffer to haul crude or maybe do oversized and wench hauling , I have a good bit of experience in that , just nobody seems to be talking much about what its like to work for rig movers , [maybe they stay too busy ] thansk though havnt tried jobnd im just not there to work 60 /70 hours im used to working about 80 90 so that's what im looking for. just out of curiosity why did you leave there I see yor from eastern n.c. im mostly from charlotte but ive been working out of the country for about the last five yrs.

I left a local sheriff's office to go there to bank some money, get caught up on mortgage and repair house. I worked security for Baker while there. Reason I left is my wife and son here. It was only temporary for me. I lived in my van while there. -31 f really sucks. Check out power fuels out of Williston. 25 an hour hauling water and housing is only 400.00 a month. Also try Missouri Valley Petroleum out of Belfield ND. they pay about the same. If you have a class A CDL and a good work ethic, YOU are in DEMAND! Do not work for a jerk. Many companies want you. And will supply reasonable housing. Don't give all your hard earned money to housing.

thanks for the encouragement wildmurphy , ive been dealing with this crazy lady company recruiter trying to ignore her nasty attitude and rude e-mails . she keeps changing dates times ,and gets rude when I ask a question god help you if you forget one and ask it twice . but anyway I figure ill get theyre training go up there and see what happens , I can always jump ship and find something else , I just don't like moving around too much starting is usually the worst part of a job , theyre wanting a grand a month for housing and get my own meals plus a month deposit , im sure ill never see that 1,000 again , but here I go thanks for the help im in transit in a couple days back to the u.s. and have 3 weeks to report to training so ill keep looking in the mean time .also ive done some security stuff overseas a few times pays good but its a dying market , lots of congressional budget cuts .

Please consider other companies. 1000.00 is too much for company housing. But I understand, foot in the door. Good luck to you. The money is in the Bakken.

Check MBI in Belfield, too. They only start in the $21/hour range, DOE, but they cover 100% medical and dental and their housing varies from $350-700/month, depending on the type. $3/hour night differential, too.

As for the 150 mile thing, its BS... still have to follow DOT HOS rules. But at MBI you can work a 5-1 schedule, thereby getting the 24-hour reset DOT requires for oilfield rules (as opposed to a 34 hour reset), and still pull in a solid 75-80 hours a week. I just got off shift with MBI... Its Friday morning, so I still have two days to go... and I am somewhere in the neighborhood of 53 hours thus far. I'll pull at least 75 hours, if I get shorted on the runs in the next 2 nights, but it is looking like I will break 80 for sure. (I forgot to add that I had Tuesday night off, so I will be working the next two nights.

Good advice. Plus you are closer to Dickinson which in my opinion is nicer than Williston.
