I am looking to get hired on anywhere on The Fayetteville Shale area.

Anywhere from Fayetteville, Ar area, and east of there will be fine with me.

I found a hot spot of Oil Field service companies around Searcy, Arkansas and Kensett, Arkansas. Like 6 or 8 of them.

Also, that area on Highway 65 north of Little Rock would work really good for me.

But there does not seem to be a whole lot of hiring going on.

I am going to have to make a re-con trip up there next week to find out what is going on.

Can anyone make any suggestions of companies or ideas?

    Thanks for all feedback.

M&M is hiring. Best pay around here but they won't even return my phone calls since I only have 1 year. I think they want 3 years. They have offices in Conway and Damascus (the hwy 65 you speak of) www.mmenvirosvc.com

J.C. Fitzgerald a.k.a. J.C. Fodale is located in Greenbrier where I live and is hiring (also Hwy 65) (501)679-5246 I think they only require 1 year and I could probably get on with them but I'm exploring different avenues.

Littlefield is in Fort Smith on the border of Oklahoma and they're hiring. Rumor is they'll even take recent grads.

There are many others in Damascus (two-state, centennial, and others) If you have experience theyll take you.

Cal-Frac is hiring in Beebe. Out hwy 64 close to 67/167

Halliburton is hiring for my dream job of chemical hauling out of Conway but you better bring mad experience to the table for that one.

Then theres SWN. Southwestern Energy. They run the whole show around here but good luck getting in there. If you don't know someone you won't get in. I've submitted over 100 apps for every different job I could possibly apply for. This is by far the best company here but they know it.

There's some smaller companies here and there. I've seen signs out in the middle of nowhere for Oakley which confuses me because I thought Oakley only did food grade. But I saw the signs in Center Ridge. There's some more in Heber Springs that want a couple years experience but they're smaller too.

I live here so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

What kind of money are they paying? I'm just a couple hours away from there. Oakley hauls a lot of sand. I know a guy up here that leases to them. He runs up into PA a lot too.

M&m advertises 18.50 an hour for experienced drivers. And I would assume they have the most work. I'm unsure about how much Fitzgerald pays but I know they use a shift differential. At least most of the time

Got it! I will pm you my phone number when I leave the house in Texas. I was born in Jonbur, and I have a whim of an idea to go back to that area.

Well, I hated to leave this thread just dangling....I didn't go to Arkansas. There is just so many job opportunities where I live, I ended up taking a flat bed gig. Work Monday thru Friday. Home everyday. Every weekend off. Start time 8:00am. No tarping. No unloading. I just couldn't turn down that schedule. No, it doesn't pay as good as oilfield, but it should be just an 8 hour day or even less. Getting lazy I guess. Thanks ryan5364 for the help. That is some good information you put out there.
