Currently I am working with a frac company in odessa. I haven't been there very long so not much time invested. I have a class A cdl with all endorsements. I do not think frac is for me so thinking of moving on. I have seen both suncoast and pilot logistics around the frac sites and am wondering how they compare as far as overall pay, benefits, and safety procedures. Any info you can give will be appreciated.

I am not in Texas or in the oilfield at all. But I have applied at both. I don't have enough experience for Suncoast for sure and probably not for Pilot either. However, if Suncoast told me they would hire me, I would be in Texas tomorrow. I have sent them many apps to the point where I don't even receive calls from the pre-information people anymore. Have never made it as far as getting a recruiter to call me. I know of people working for them that get over 100 hours a week. Many that get over 100k per year. The same could probably be said for Pilot as well but for me it would be Suncoast hands down. They just seem like a solid company. Even a retirement company. I just don't get the same vibe from Pilot. That's just my 2 cents and it probably isn't even worth that much.

Just started with Pilot honestly never heard of both before. Is why this forum is awesome.

Is far too early for me to advise on Pilot. So far tho is disorganized like others have said. But hours are good. Busy. Had 1 yr exp. honestly got the job easy they required 1 yr not sure how flexible with that they are. Work is lax am only driver in my team others are techs.

Heard Sunco pays more Pilot 20 hr 22 after 6 months. Bonus 2000 yr broken quarterly if good boy, lol. Per diem 30 day

Is frac fueling. They have crude division hear is 11 hrs day tho.

Pays OT after 40 hrs. Just started so far seems 75-90 hrs week. Gonna be working straight tho. Getting hired to training is fast and organized, once start work is like being left in dark tho. Be prepared to not know where they will send you. Got lucky working local, some got send to rio grande border area. Per diem is only if you get sent away. Also no pay for drive time, only start time. Should be miles pay however haven't personally seen yet on check.

    Thai Thanks this.

Pilot fuels out equipment and we expect to be south of carrizo for probably the rest of the year.. so you should have some pretty steady work. But long unpaid hours. Thankfully I get paid for the 3 hours a day in the van
