Finally got the call back from them. My criminal and background came back clean and now they want to schedule a physical and drug test. Does anyone here haul crude for them , or know someone that hauls crude for them? I've heard a lot of good things about them through word of mouth, but I'm looking for some first hand info.

My boyfriend and i talked to a plains driver in sidney, mt recently and he said he loved it there. He has been there for six years and said he will never leave. But he also said that not all yards are the same. The word is to stay away from the williston yard but the sidney and watford city yards are good. Both my boyfriend and i went over to the watford yard, he filled out an app and was offered a job, i picked the brains of a couple drivers and talked to the boss.
While talking to the boss one of the night drivers happened to be sitting there and told me of the good yards in texas (i asked him about texas) he has worked down there. I cant remember the one he told me about but midland wasnt one of them. It was a yard somewhere east of midland i think. Personally i think its a good company but you need be careful which yard you go to. Go to the actual yard and talk to the drivers. Btw....he said he no longer works down there because the money is better up here in siberia.Ben Gunn Thanks this. -
word is you change your own tires

Id agree about avoiding the williston yard if dale is still there. If you call and ask for directions, he threatens your job. If you call because you are having a mechanical issue, he threatens your job. Etc, etc. I started out with them based in Stanley and made it a month before I left. And I came from 8 years of military service so I'm used to ########. Take it with a grain of salt though, your experience could be different.

Plains in Wyoming is a top notch company, and almost impossible to get a job with, nobody leaves.

Plains runs commission, avg days drivers in a Midland district earn 85k/yr+, night drivers 100k/yr+, $3500 quart. Bonuses. I know a man who works out of Odessa says he loves it. I have heard though that Plains makes you sign a paper that states you can't say anything negative about the company. I do know you have to change your own tires and the equipment is trashed due to drivers trying to get rich in one shift. The benefits are decent. My two cents.
