    Hello all

I have searched these and other forums but am having trouble finding any information on companies that haul water in the oil fields in southern New Mexico (Roswell, Hobbs, Artesia, Carlsbad). I am a graduate of a 160 hour truck school but have no other CDL experience. I was wondering if you guys know of any water hauling companies in this area that would hire a recent grad. I have a CDL A with tanker and doubles/triples. Any other information is always very appreiated.

    Thank you all :)

I know the last two companies I worked for have yards in that area. Try Key Energy and Nabors. You won't get rich, but they're good starter companies and you can move on after you get 3-6 months experience. I hear theirs plenty of work there, so their should be plenty more driving opportunities.

I was hauling water with a company from Iraan, Tx. They have work from Carlsbad down to west texas. They have company drivers but also have owner ops. Owner ops are the guys that will give you an opportunity.

Thank you guys, I'll be sure to check these out. Viper are you able to disclose what company you worked for and if so how one would get in contact with O/Os?

Name of company is circle III. Give me some time and I'll get some contact numbers for you. Office number is (432) 639-2237.
They do walk in apps on Tuesday and wednesday. If they are hiring they will do the drug test right there but then you have to wait till the next Tuesday or Wednesday for results.

Another thing I would like to point out is that a lot of new guys think they will get nice looking trucks but that's not the case. A lot of owners get junk trucks to do the work because of the dirt road conditions. If they were to buy new trucks it would be a really bad investment due to the very bad conditions of dirt roads and would have to deal with breakdowns. Just a heads up

Plus they can pickup junk trucks for $20k vs $130k for a nice new reliable truck. But either can make money in an oil boom.

    viper822004 Thanks this.
