Lady I talked to about a month ago from there said "most oilfield companies won't hire you without a year experience". This was after she tried to sell me on their program and I thought isn't it your job to place me somewhere where drivers are actually needed??? She actually talked me out of it, rude and condescending. Maybe she had a bad day, idk but they lost my business.

I think think they and most schools have some sort of 'agreement' with certain companies to send grads their way (as in kickbacks). Just my opinion.

I graduated the Sage course. I understand road masters is about the same price as sage, except that with sage, you get 4 hours all to yourself in the truck. Okay with road masters you're in a cab with about 4 other guys, they set up extra seats in the sleeper birth with seat belts and all. So all these guys are aching to drive during their 4 hour drive but in reality only get to drive maybe 45 mins each. They tend to fail a lot at dps. As for sage, well trust me, after 3 hours of driving in circles, up shift down shift, parallel park and zip zaging and all, you're tired, and very confident. That's just the yard drive. Then they take you to the streets, at first in a low traffic industrial area, then when the instructor feels you're ready, off to an intersection and stop light, traffic, all that. My instructor for that day went by the name of Kangaroo, an old Australian cowboy. Hell of a guy, he jokes a lot. Anyway you get 11 drives, that's 44 hours. If you fail your test at DPS they give you two retries, if you keep failing, you're stupid. Since I passed my course, I haven't driven in over a month and I'm about to get hired with an oilfield job in west texas. I only used 10 of the 11 drives, they say you can come back whenever and use your drive if you need a warm up before a job starts or some other reason. Today I took that drive and man I am ready for the oilfield. They have application forms for a few oil companies, but don't rely on that. You can definitely get a job not in the oilfield through them. Of course they will tell you you need 1 year experience for the oilfield because the non oilfield companies are hurting bad for drivers. Sage was great man. Loved it. The 2 week classes make you anxious to get in the cab and drive. Sanjel for example sends their workers to Sage to get their class a because they are a #### good company and want their workers to get #### good training. While you're sitting in there after you paid 4000 something dollars, you can be a little jealous of the guys from Sanjel sitting next to you being paid oilfield money to be in the same class as you. Yup, good course.

Ps : sorry for any mistakes, auto correct is annoying

And trust me the course pays for itself, once you're in the oilfield making 6 to 8 grand a month, you'll be thankful.
