Ok I have been reading and researching all I can before I make the jump to O/O for frac sand. I have no experience with running a pneumatic but I have done flatbed and stepdeck for the last year and I know I can sure run a #### pneumatic. The real questions are who is everyone leasing on with? Or is it better to run my own authority? I want to lease on cause insurance rates (only been driving 18 months and am only 24 so the insurance companies wanna rape me even though I got a clean driving record) so can somebody please give me some companies either by pm or on the thread. I have talked to a couple frac sand llc, sting but they sound awful, 1845 and a few others so please am looking for some help!! Also would rather rent a trailer then buy one but am willing to buy one if the prices is right!

You think the insurance company is gonna rape you, wait till you
lease on with some crooked frac sand outfit.there's more bad ones
then good ones.even drivers who know the business get burnt.

frac sand is there one day and gone the next. Can you sleep
covered in dirt and sweat.can you eat dirt, cause that's what your
food is gonna taste like. Very few can live the frac sand life.

I would hire on as company driver first just to see if i
want to do it.once your on the pad you will find out who
is legit and who the fly by night companies are.

I agree that none of the frac lease company's are perfect but there are a few worth working for. Rocking C Transport is worth a look, normal office & dispatch growing pains but the money you can make is worth your time.
If you have a nice truck, it's not so bad living out of it. Outfitted with a good size fridge, micro wave, toaster oven and of course a flat screen tv with a DVD player. Satellite equipped is a bonus.

I read 1845 is affiliated with Quick Sand. My research shows to steer clear. Stinger is another one to stay away from,I've read. My advise go on Craigslist and gather a list, then go to the FMCSA website and check there CSA score. Call the prospective employers up ask questions and go from there. Good luck.

@Little Money that is wrong info.

Flex Frac Logistics > splits up > (Fred screws investor) Investor pulls out all his 80-90 trucks, makes a new company called Flex Frac Oilfield (Don't know how they are), other guy does DBA name change into Quick Sand. Quick Sand > renames to Sting (current as of now)

Stay away From Sting. They will not pay some settlements and are the cheapest in the game. They got a strong team of lawyers and think they can get away with anything.

Now on the other hand. D&T Trucking bought Rowdy Farms and Gila Trucking and renamed to 1845 oilfield services.

Anything you do, just stay away from STING, if anyone has any doubts, feel free to stop by my office in Southlake, TX. I have no problem showing someone e-mail's and settlements. You can see for yourself the thousands they ripped me off on. That was before I was running my trucks under my own authority and had direct contracts with companies. I pulled all of my trucks out of that sh*% hole company that was once called Flex Frac Logistics, Quick Sand, and now Sting.

I have been in the frac sand business for a long time. The rates and work that is available today IS NOT DEPENDABLE. It can slow down to were you get 2 loads a week. Trust me, seen this in the past.

D&T are 1st class rats. Went down long time ago. Renegade is only outfit I know of at this time I would go with. Have set up some good day rates. $1500 a day if truck works or not. Not as good as old days but driver is getting $375 a day for no loads or 100. Owners are good people. Take very good care of equipment.
