The 2 weeks I spent in San Angelo was my favorite part of my time with Nabors. I liked that town. Did not make working in Big Spring very palatable after I got back though!

Nabors Completion and Production (basically the trucking and frack divisions) has been acquired by C&J Energy. The deal was announced about three months ago. No changes yet but we're expecting the name to change around the end of the year. Other than new uniforms we don't know how/if things will change on a day to day basis. Nabors is a good starter company. I didn't start out with them but I've been with them a little over a year now and I'm pretty happy.

could have started the next day working. The 3rd one had to wait 3 days for the drug
test to return, took that job, went to work on 4th day softer walking thru the door.
and they all start 2 to 4 dollars more an hour than nabors.
There giving these water/ vac jobs away in south Texas, once the drug test
clears you go top work.nobody's waiting a month for 15.00 hr job. -

Ben, can you tell me what their Physical Assessment is like?

Didn't hear anything bad about those companies in Big Lake, on south side of 67 just past Pilot, you got PanHandle, a little ways farther on the north side by the pinnergy swd, you have COT, Pinnergy, and Wolverine a little in the back you have Select ,all those companies are hiring.
In San Angelo, BTT and Dunagin are advertising on the radio , I am pretty sure that Basic is still looking too (big lake or San Angelo - for angelo you can call the office number 325 -655 -4029 and ask them , however they ll want an online app too), you also got Diamond B on 67 north side just before going into san angelo, they might have a sign still up, but can't hurt to ask.
The physical for Nabors, is pretty simple stuff, climb a ladder couple times, climb a box couple minutes, and lift and carry some weight up to shoulder and midsize level. and then they check your bones and joint stuff like that, no biggie really -
Thanks Frenchman! That helps a lot. It seems like a standard fit test that we took for OTR, minus the ladder part. Do you remember the weight amounts? 25# or 50#? Or less? I feel sure I could do either of those amounts, I just like to be mentally prepared going into it.

Don't worry about it really,
I think it goes up to 70 but not really sure. nothing undoable for sure.
And it is supposed to represent the lift the hose to put back in the tray or piece of manifold etc, ladder is for climbing up frac tanks and other battery tanks
stairs would be for going up and down the cab every time you load/ unload etc. -
There's also a couple of mom and pops just up 137 North of Big Lake if you need work while waiting. 4C, Friendly and one other all have shingles out. Dunno where FTS is but they running hard through the area too. Sand drivers......
Behave too, bears been working hard round Big Lake especially on 137.
Good huntingTracyN Thanks this. -
Or is the fit test something to do with the use of the respirators and the physicall assessment a different thing? Sounds like they are maybe two different tests.
