I've read through the board and found most advise hourly as the way to go. What about water? I have two job offers to work on the oil fields hauling water. One pays hourly mid 20s and the other pays 21%. Which is most likely a better choice to go with? I have no experience driving so I am happy for the job offer just want to make the best decision possible. I am assuming winter will slow things down making hourly a better route but want to see what others think.
Hourly or Percentage?

I find that percentage usually pays more than hourly or mileage. But, it really depends on what the gross rate that is used in calculating the percentage. I have done mileage, hourly and percentage during my time in the seat. For the most part, I will usually go with percentage. It is the most fair way in which to work and pay drivers.

Then again, in PA hourly is better than percentage because the guys out here are hauling water for $80.00 per hour
