Here is a question that Im sure has been asked a zillion times. What are the better companies? I have been driving 26 yrs no tix or accidents. Ive hauled fuel gas hydrogen chemicals etc. HOWEVER I got out of the Tanker Yanker biz. I let my hazmat go 2 years ago bu still have the H endorsement. Im looking to get out of the snow and head to TX. Should I get my x endorsemnt back or is water sand etc as good a gig as hauling crude?

if you are wanting to stay in the area for long, water will be the way over sand.
Produced water will always have to be transported to disposal even from old wells and well will always have to be services (water truck needed again, or Kill truck, or Hot Oiler)

As for Crude they are building more and more pipeline which could result in less truck needed in the long run.
Once they are done drilling and fracking, there is not much use for sand anymore.

However if it's driving that you want to do only, then go for Crude

You're kidding right?? If you have that much chemical/tanker experience and good record why would you want to mess with oil patch?? Houston is chemical capital of the world. Lots of companies always looking for pros at big wages.

I know Houston is the king of Chems. I dont want to live in a big city. I do like driving off road and on highways. Also like sleeping in my own bed. Who would you suggest I look into?

I'm curious about this myself. I'm trying to do as much research as possible so I don't become a job hopper.
