I'm new to the boards and thought i'd ask for everyone's advice on this. Is anyone currently a 0/0 with a sand trailer? I have a spare truck and have access to a 1040 pneumatic and have thought about putting it on the road. I know the prices for daily O/O rates are all over the place and wanted to test the waters to see if anyone has bad this move. I've obivously have done research on this but the rates and opinions change daily. I respect everyone input on this. thanks

I met some owners in San Antonio who told me they were grossing about $7,000/week with the oil companies. I don't remember if they hauled sand or crude. I would expect the rates would be comparable with the rest of the state.

That was in the past year. I met them at the TA in San Antonio. Some of them camp out at the truck stop.

Those rates are great. Ive had 3 trucks running in TX and NM. Never send those kind of day rates. They are working in PA. now.
Good Luck. I never could do very well in South Tx.

Mark thanks for the reply. From talking to other people these rates have just gotten this high in the last 2-3 weeks. I still want to pick your brain on a few things.

Like I said That is a good rate. But I would ask for it on paper and check there background. Those rates are $100 higher then PA. And demerge rate is alot higher to. I just left one company 4 weeks ago that owes me $30,000.00. No im not going to say who. I'm hoping to get paid...
Good Luck. Just watch you P's and Q's. You can go under real fast with these pop up frac sand hauling companies.

Thank GOD I had A little bank or it would have happened to me.
