Yea really, and that big news break they have about algae in Mobile Bay and being able to make bio diesel out of it. Granted we are a few years away from that but still this should drive prices down even more. And in my opinion hurt the oil fields in a way.

frack sand rates in north dakota are much less than frack sand rates in pennsylvania which is why all the sand haulers in north dakota are flocking to pennsylvania to take advantage of the higher rates here

I ‘ve been in trucking for 12years and in the Frac Sand businessfor the last 7 years hauling in South TX, East TX, Oklahoma and New Mexico andhas made pretty good money. I’ve been leased to a company making 80% and theytaking 20%. We have hauled Frac Sand in South Tx, New Mexico, N. Dakota, OK andPennsylvania. I think it’s about time for me to get my own direct contract.I’ve saved up a pretty good some of money over the 7 years plus have anexcellent line of credit and I have 4 trucks with my own equipment. I have acouple of questions I would like to ask.
    1) Do anyone know of any other companies other thanHalliburton I can get my own contract with?

    2) I was told that detention bill is up to $85.00per hour but Halliburton only pays $55.00 per hour.

    3) Is it possible to contract with more than onecompany at time?

    4) What’s the minimum amount of trucks I may needto my own contract? ( I have the ability to get four more trucks and businesspartners that makes the total 15 to 20)

    5) What’s the minimum insurance requirement I willhave to have to get my own direct contract?

that all depends on what state you are in. Pennsylvania pays triple North Dakota and Texas rates for sand

Several guys I know who left nd went to pa and now are looking for work. They said it's dead as can be out there. When they were working they said they made a killing. Much better the nd and Texas was less then nd.

As of yesterday they have ten trucks between the two with trailers and have no work for them.
