Any info on Direct Recruitment Services?

I don't know anything about them. I'd normally advise anyone to stay away from staffing agencies and apply directly with companies for the the line of work your trying to do.

Halliburton, Nabors, SLB, etc have put out employment fraud warnings. There are some fraudulent agencies and people pretending to be representing major oil & gas companies. They try to get the person applying for the job to western Union them a few hundred bucks to proceed processing the applications.

 

I have seen a lot of ads on CL and they're under DRS or Direct Recruitment Services. I want to say it looks like you have to go in person to Pecos to talk to them, but don't quote me. Most seem to think that RomanSGI is correct in the suggestion to go direct to employers. I'm slowly compiling a list of company locations/yards etc so I have places to go when I get down there. Also keeping track of upcoming job fairs. Most of the positions DRS is posting are looking for experience so it doesn't work for me anyway. Good Luck.
