I currently have 19 years of truck driving experience. I drove OTR in the mid to late 90s. Since then I have been pretty much local in the construction industry driving roll offs, belly dumps, side dumps, cat wagons, etc...I have all endorsements.

I am looking to get into the crude hauling business as a company driver now, and maybe later as an owner/operator. I've been looking at the San Antonio area but am open to to other areas also. I'm not real interested in getting involved in the rat race in ND, however! I've read a lot of horror stories about some of the different companies in Texas. Can someone point me in the direction of a good company in Texas? A company that really takes care of it's drivers and practices safety on a daily basis, and not just when it's convenient. I am also looking for a company that runs sleeper trucks!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

All that goes out the window when your getting paid by the load
    or percentage pulling oil.

Im south of San antonio ( carrizo springs) doing water and I get
loaded every night rite next to the oil drivers. The company is
tri-Mack. They seem to have a hold on 90 percent of the wells
    down here.

They have sleeper trucks. The equipment looks good.
They drive like a bat out of hell to get as many loads
as possible. I'll ask them what there pay is.
