I'm currently taking sage's cdl class set to graduate mid dec if everything goes as planned. I talked to the guy that runs the yard in wysox, pa before i went to sage and he said come back with my cdl and i have a job on a frac crew. 2 weeks on 1 off schedule and from what i gathered they put you up in motel for your 2 week bid, 40$ a day per diem plus travel time and 40hrs pay on week off. Now that last part seems too good to be true. One guy i talked to while i was in the yard said there averaging 14-16hr days with travel time included. once you leave motel your on the clock. I know ill be able to put up with the hours and the work, i came from doing 12hr shifts at a food warehouse busting my ### all day (piece work) so i know that wont be a problem

Does anyone have exp working for them? I'd like to know what the general attitude is like there, you know management wise do they treat you like a human being?

Well that's good then if they pay 40 on the week off. Any idea on starting wages? I've heard anywhere from 17-19$ w/cdl and 15-16 for non cdl hands. If that's true then thats a #### good wage for entry level 21 y/o. I too heard they run mostly auto shifts, im currently learning on a straight 10. my dad drives a semi auto 10sp and he ####### hates it with a passion lol

Now idk if ill be able to go home every night, i live 50mi from the yard. Do you know if they meet at the yard before going to the rig or can u just drive from the house to the rig? Most of the wells they're servicing are within 40 min of the house. If i can just go from my house to the well site ill deff be driving home everyday but if you have to meet at yard going home is out of the question cuz thats like 2.5hrs driving everyday plus the 14 hr days on top of that leaves no sleep for me

I heard 15 to start...there is no "rig" its a well site. ..u probably have to meet at yard and a crew van will pick everyone up and drive u to and from location...every yard is different tho. They might even have u stay at a hotel if yard too far from well site. ..

Yea i know there's no rig. my dad used to be a cementer so im just used to him saying "rig" instead of well site. I know they pay for motel but if were doing a job close to my house id like to at least sleep in my bed a few times during my hitch. I live in Susquehanna county where most of the fracing is going on now. the yard is in bradford county.

I know the pay is more than 15 cuz the non cdl guys get started at 15 w/o exp and 16 if you have some exp. The one hand i talked to was non cdl and he started at 15. He didn't know what hands with their cdl got paid, it was his 1st week on the job but he was guessing 17-19. I've heard a few ppl say their one of the better companies to work for in the marcellus region, hopefully its true. I also heard they bring you food to location, i think i heard 1 meal per shift which is nice cuz i never stop eating lol
