Does anyone work for weatherford frac in odessa?

Decent hours,,well you will not be working 9 to 5,,expect to work nights, days or what ever hours they want,, expect to work 70 hours or more per week,,want big bucks then work when ever and what ever hours they want,,you will be on call all the time,, you will be expected to work all the available hours that you can under Texas intrastate regs,, You will be paid big buck and you wiil work your butt off and if you screw up they will get rid of you.want a free ride go drive for SWIFT,,

 

Weatherford sucks in the permian. I've heard that from many customers we work for.

 

There immediate managers are in competant. From assistant terminal manager to field managers. She doesn't know what she's doing got the position through the buddy system she use to run Baker Hughes in Colorado they ran that to the ground. Could be a great company get rid of all Odessa leadership very unsafe leadership I I know I Frac and know people there good luck if you go watch your back

 

I know quite a few Weatherford employeees, and they're all pretty happy. As a company, they're having some major issues and they're very highly leveraged financially, but their frac guys are still working a lot right now in West Texas/Eastern New Mexico.

On the other hand, they laid off their ENTIRE frac division in North Dakota in one day earlier this year (when oil prices were still 100+/barrel) so who knows what might happen.

If you're only making 15/hour now, I'd say so for it and make the switch to Weatherford. Give it a shot, see how you like the company, it it works out, great! If not, oh well, go down the street and get another job with someone else.

 

I worked for them for 3 years. The first group of management was great, but they came in though in Sept 2013 and fired all management then it went down hill. Went through DMs pretty quick. The supervisor over their "blue" crew which was the better crew left recently to another company and many of the better hands left behind them. Not sure what its like now. I think they're still working for Devon and Anadarko with just 2 crews. They do just fire people for no reason though. Be careful

 

I would just worry about oil being $61 a bbl. But either job is fracking why not switch for more money.
