    Hello! I am making a trip to Texas to check out the oilfields. I am interested in hauling crude oil or anything that pays good. I am flying into dallas and driving from dallas to midland area. (Cheaper to fly into Dallas and rent a car than to fly into midland Odessa airport). Any good companies out that way that any of you guys would recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Not to be a smart rear, but the oil companies are still hiring? Most oilfield drivers I know are slowly being laid off. But I'm sure some will always be hiring.

    The ones I've spoke to are which is basin western and liberty crude. I don't know much about either. Just what other truckers have said on a different forum.

    Well I wish you the best of luck. Western TX is probably doing a little better then the rest of the country as they are older rigs.

    Basin western is good, they are hiring for hobbs area only right now, as far as i know. We have liberty as 3rd party, not to surr about them yet, also bct out of odessa, they are kimrad, bct has oo. Font know rates but i would recommend them

    The last I heard, Evenson Trucking out of Amarillo is still hiring for the Pecos area. I have a friend who went back down there recently with them and seems to be happy. I am still seeing quite a few ads for Pecos, Hobbs and the Carlsbad areas. I do know that some carriers are out of trailers and you have to come up with your own.
