It might be to those who haven't seen it. It's the very first article I've seen about it yet and they just " published " it an hour ago.

Did you notice the "luxury apartment" part? Big hot tub, free food and alcohol... Its only a 70 unit complex with executives living in it. That doesn't represent a normal snapshot of the area.

I went with companies that supplied housing for free. But there were guys out there renting couches & closets(yes, closets) for $800+ a month! 1 Bedroom apartments for $1,500-$2,500, etc. If you went out there without a company supplying housing you were better off wherever you came from, because the rent would eat up any earnings you made. And you're living pay check to pay check. You may as well be in a desirable location and live pay check to pay check instead of that wasteland.

I was looking into housing a few weeks ago around Watford and Williston. If you want to rent a room somewhere you can find one for $500-$1000/mo, if you are looking for an apartment Williston has some that are under $1500/mo Watford you are looking at $2000-$3500 mo. If the company you are going to doesn't offer housing, subsidized housing or a housing stipend you are going to be paying a lot of money for your own place. I was looking at Plains in Williston but they don't offer any kind of housing/compensation at all, that being said they do pay extremely well. Concorde in Watford is paying $2250/mo for the FEMA trailers in the Watford mancamp that house 2 at a time. They said they are renegotiating their contract at the end of the month and I expect it will go down quite a bit, but as of now they're paying 4 times what these trailers are worth.

In Williston, Is that old beat up blue GMC truck and the POS red car still behind the walmart? If you go past the post office and wrap around that curve where those apartments are there's an old rust box they initially wanted $8,500 obo for and drop it to $5,500 firm then there's that pos red car with flat tires, busted out windows, smashed in hood and want $2,300 for it. LOL
