The rate cutting has begun.
According to the eight friends who drive water for Power Fuels and Missouri Basin, two of the big well-service firms up here, things slowed down in May and have not picked up at all. Some say it is due to the easy Winter we had here (little precipitation... I think Seattle WA got more snow than we did this year). But billing rates have been lowered by Hess, Continental and some of the other rig operators up here. The well service firms used to haul water (fresh, flowback, production, etc) for $140 per hour. That was cut to $120 and is now even lower, so percentage pay has been slammed. Power Fuels has told its drivers it will eliminate some driver bonuses and not hire to replace drivers leaving for a lack of work (relative of course... 70 hours per week was standard there until April).
So now is not the time to go to ND unless you are an O/O with a 407 trailer and looking to work as a contractor hauling crude oil. If you are wanting to drive water though, OK well service firms are hiring for about $18/hr. Yep, it's a 25% hit in the pocket, but they will work you, so if your bills won't wait, head on down. If you are a gambling man and want to used up your funds to wait it out in ND in hopes of a pickup, have a nice Winter.

thanks D-n Havens for all your info. Did she have an email ? Im in Kuwait and planning to go back to the states in a few weeks. I apply in Key Energy but Im thinking about the winter comming soon and maybe Texas is a better idea. I have 15 years of exp. with piggy backs , flat and heavy equip. Here in the middle east in the past 8 years I had been working 70, 80 or more hours a week even many times for weeks before having a day off under extreme conditions of weather and danger so I'm not afraid of the hard work. I have tank endorsment but no experience and looking a company who train me in water hauling or vacuum . thanks again man.

You answered your own question.... Real companies don't hire and advertise on Craigslist....Only the Swift quality companies up here... That get the worst and most desperate drivers applying.

Look for companies that have their own work.gdyupgal and nicholas_jordan Thank this. -

For anyone thinking about going to Key Energy in North Dakota, DON'T! I hired on with them in June, and just quit because there's no work. Upper management has repeatedly stated that they're gonna close the doors in Jan up here if things don't significantly improve, and since Key shot themselves in the foot by pissing Hess off, it's not gonna happen. They're still hiring in order to outpace their turnover rate, and they're basically using the new recruits to assist them in bringing operations to a gradual halt instead of letting the ####### slam shut, so to speak.

Thanks for the advise. Im waiting for them to call me
