http://www.thetruckersreport.com/?s=oil+fields How often do you read, research, and follow up on news that shows up on the truckers report main page? I having trouble figuring out how to find the one where i think ATA has submitted a request to allow SAND and WATER HAULERS to use the oil field exemption. Only because my understanding is that oil companies and frackers are moving more towards drilling next to or nearer more densley populated areas, posibly more economical to do so - but sand, crude, and water haulers will be scrutinized a little more closely as shet goes into ballots and red carpet layers go on to create more paperwork headaches and unanswerable issues. Wondering if this might be the case in ND as it is in CO ???

maybe someone can give me advise , especially bobtail member you've been helpful before , I applied for a job as crude hauler the recruiter called me back and offered frack fueling . im just heading to work in the oilfields but ive been trucking for over 25yrs. it pays 22$ a hour and housing is 1,000 a month doesn't sound bad ,hate to turn it down because people say they get 100 hrs a week[ not bad,] im thinking maybe I should either ask for more money or hold out for a crude hauling job that's what I really want . maybe you can tell me how many hours a crude hauler gets ,[average] . ive done allot of apps. only a few bites and I know most companys have already hired for the year but my current job is running out fast . what do u think?

Take it... you'll be "in" the oilfield instead of talking about it...big difference. If you just cannot stand being out of the truck, you will be seeing and talking to the guys who can help you get the job you want. From what I've seen and been told, the frac fuelers are making more than crude haulers.

Frac fueled get more hours. You stay on site sitting in your truck more than working.

Saw an ad for merrick logistics, same company?

Hey iron mule I just started at nuverra Monday. I got sent to Dickenson and no one seems to want to make sure I get signed off. My trainer shows up every once in a while and I've been trained on super sucker 2 days and been sweeping the shop and washing trucks for the other three days. I have 2 years experience up here and am used to running hard. Not being a shop ######. Is Watford any better? Not off to a good start at pf.

Have a little patience, you have only been there a couple days. Dickinson just lost a big contract Tuesday and the office is regrouping trying to keep its existing employees working. You are the new guy so may not be at the top of the pecking order. The Dickinson office is usually one of the most profitable of Nuverra's offices (if not the top) so I expect it will figure a way out of the current slump soon. Overall, my husband has done well in Dickinson (20% better than when he worked out of another Nuverra office).

If you're talking about the sand haulers with the bull logo, yeah, there was a bunch running to a SLB job down BIA 14/12 last weekend.
