Double D is the company,s name, I talked to him when I was doing a drop and hook, windy and raining, with a bad phone connection. Anyway he whants a resume, I need to take time off and get one made up. I,m broke down in Chicago, the company put me up in a motel. I just checked craigs list for North Dakota, and saw another driving job posted, so that,s good. Hey AC22 any companys have Mack trucks, that would be awesome. Thanks again

I think the company you are thinking of is Hamm and Phillips. They run Macks. Harold Hamm who owns Continental Resources owns Hamm and Phillips. Mainly fresh water hauling, but they also run winch trucks for frac tank moving.

I don't think Real Trucking runs Macks, but I could be wrong.

I'm not aware of a Double D, but if you are applying at Double B with a guy named Butch, I know quite a bit about them. The company I work for has him leased on...

Small world I guess. I know he has advertised on Craigslist.

I talked to a guy at real, he,s not the hireing man, that knows all the specifics, but he said there working 8 to 10 hours, sounds like cake. But if I have to buy a camper and drive as far as 90 mi. in my wheels for work everyday, I would need to make top bank. Hey AC22 is Double B a place where a guy can gross more than 2,000 a week. Thanks again

You won't gross 2K at many places up here driving truck unless maybe you are moving rigs. Our drivers generally make around $80K - $90k, but we do have some that will be around $100+K. I know you won't make that kind of $$ at Double B, but there are jobs up here that will pay that. Not right of the bat of course, but in time I'm sure you could make that money. Most employers though aren't going to allow you to drive 90 miles to and from work and then put in long oilfield days. Better off bringing a camper to Williston and finding a place to park it, then going door to door for work. Our 2nd question we ask in an interview is "where are you going to live." In a few cases lately the answer has been "in my car". Not good.

Some places have an age limit of 25, but as long as you have trucking experience at the age of 23 you will be fine. We can hire a 21 year old as long as he can show 2 years of experience.

Use caution though.....if we have the option to hire a 2 year experienced oilfield driver vs a 10 year over the road driver.....we always hire the 2 year oilfield guy. All experience is not created equal in this oilfield game!
